It's from comment I've stumbled upon elsewhere. *that's not directed at bsengine so please don't get all-up on me. There at least a dozen scattered forum threads on swapping in tunable carbs?

Is this really so rare? There have to be many hundreds of these OH318 engines performing awfully behind the seven series 'emissions' carbs. Within a reasonable range of throat diameter, any adjustable carb with a close enough bolt pattern is going to be tunable to the engine.

It's piston displacing a certain volume and two valves.period. There are no oxy sensors, cat converters, microchip driven fuel delivery systems, vacuum sensors, etc, etc. I've said it elsewhere, a four stroke tecumseh is not rocket science. Is that really so much to ask? If anyone is looking for an adjustable main jet carb they probably know how they're planning to tune itĪnd can generally do without such as "it wasn't designed for that engine"*. I can't find an aftermarket carb, of at least a dozen of no doubt suitable candidates onĪmazon or ebay, because no one lists the intake bolt center-to-center. My OH318 11hp OHV Tecumseh is BEGGING for an adjustable carb. I've been searching the same question for weeks. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!!! SOMEONE PLEASE SEE THIS THREAD AND WEIGH IN.
